A 1990 Chevy SS 454 pickup. My first vehicle purchased at the age of 16, and an excellent candidate to be converted into one bad truck. My goal was to create a truck that would stand out in a crowd, be able to take to auto shows and take home some hardware, plus take to the drag strip and come home with bragging rights. After two years of working evenings and weekends my project was complete. A bright lime green creation with 1000 horsepower and capable of running 10.1 second quarter mile times at 137 mph. Winning many awards at local car shows and World of Wheels events it was time to take the truck to Phoenix, Arizona to the Truckin’ Nationals. Once there the truck was judged as Best in Class and earned a 5 page layout in the June 2004 issue of Truckin’Magazine under the heading of “Top Gun”. This became the inspiration to start Custom Image Motorsports, my own company, and an opportunity to build the highest quality customs that I had created for myself and offer them to my customers. Since opening Custom Image Motorsports in 2002, I have had customers such as LTI Contracting from Phoenix, Arizona, that campaign a bright lime green Competition Coupe Dodge Viper in the Viper Racing League, Hawkeye Boat Sales from Dubuque, Iowa, who offer custom painted Baja boats, and Turf Cars of Omaha who provide custom golf carts to its customers. “Working closely with our customers and listening to what their expectations are and creating top quality custom rides that our customers are proud to own and drive is our goal”.
